Mrs. Yu, born and raised in Hong Kong; mother of two and grandmother to three lovely grandchildren; she truly knows what it means to be an unconditional caring  “mother”.

Story Behind Hearty Hampers & “38G | 香味品”

38G represents 38 Grams equivalent of 1 Tael 

After many years of pondering and receiving loads of encouragement, Mrs. Yu finally came up with the concept of “Hearty Hampers” after her daughter gave birth to her third child. She noticed every time her daughter gives birth, she receives many hamper gifts that are filled with baby goods and outfits but rarely any gifts dedicated to the health and nourishment of her daughter to recuperate. She thought as a mother, she needs to create a hamper concept dedicated to “health and wellness”for all other mothers, most importantly filled with delicious goodies made in Hong Kong.

Bring back the Chinese Culture Tradition into modern society

She also noticed after her children returned to Hong Kong from overseas, they are known as “华侨” and don’t have much knowledge of the local hong kong/chinese culture. Her son often ask, “what makes this abalone good?”; little does he know, these are the delicacies of the ancient chinese culture. How to buy? How to choose? how to judge the prices? these are often questions asked. She decided, its a mission for her to educate the next generation and to reintroduce to the public what she has learned from her mother hence, she came up with a rating system so customers can buy with confidence and assurance.
